HIV + Gay and Bi Men's Support Group in Solano County

Are you an HIV+gay or bi male living in Solano county who is tired of having to go to another county for support? I know I am!

 

A new HIV+ support group for Gay and Bi men in or near Solano County will have its first meeting at 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 21, at 631 Tennessee Street in Vallejo, Cathy Parker, Psy. D will be the facilitator of the group. She has been providing service to the HIV+ community since 1988. A sampling of her achievements includes:

 

  • Being a mental health consultant for an HIV education program sponsored by the Center for Disease Control
  • Working in hospice programs including the HIV unit at the California Department of Corrections Medical Facility in Vacaville
  • Presenting on a national, sate, and local level regarding the mental health aspect of HIV and the provision of HIV-related mental health services.
